  • A verified Business Profile and a business Facebook page.
  • Message templates must be created and approved by META before sending. These approvals are usually quick and must adhere to META’s guidelines.
  • A payment method, such as a credit or debit card, must be added.

Conversation Categories:

  1. Marketing Marketing conversations focus on promoting your business, products, or services. These include offers and promotions, recommendations for related products, messages about abandoned carts, or any other interactions not related to authentication or utility.
  2. Utility These conversations are transaction-focused and include invoices and post-purchase notifications, such as shipping dates, flight schedules, etc.
  3. Service These are customer-initiated conversations. They include inquiries and questions, to which businesses can respond within the allocated customer service time frame.

Costs:

To use the WB API, consider the following cost structure:

  • Live 360: For using the platform through Live 360, a plan or WhatsApp Conversations package must be purchased. The cost is $0.004 per conversation within a 24-hour window.
  • META: Costs vary depending on the type and usage of the message. For example, if the customer initiates the conversation by sending a message, the conversation is free within a 24-hour window. Marketing campaigns typically cost $0.025 per conversation within a 24-hour window. This pricing scheme will change in April 2025, and we will update the information accordingly.
